Sid Aultman has worked in the commercial real estate development and brokerage field for more than 18 years. He is currently a Partner with The Overland Group, a real estate and development company. To date, Sid has developed, bought, or brokered more than 600 commercial properties, in numerous states, including Alabama, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Mexico, Ohio, Iowa and Texas.

Sid has developed and/or acquired in excess of $600,000,000 in commercial properties. He has been involved in the development of approximately 500 free standing Dollar General retail build-to-suit across the United States, comprising approximately 4,507,000 square feet. In addition, Sid has been involved in the new development of several retail shopping centers, attracting various national tenants such as: Dollar General Corporation, Home Depot, Belk Department Stores, AT&T, Verizon, Aaron’s, McDonald’s, Arby’s, The Shoe Dept., Cato, Blockbuster, and many others.

Sid is a Life Member of the Birmingham Association of Realtors’ Commercial Million Dollar Sales Club. In 2012 he was honored as the Top Producer in the Sales and Leasing Division, and was recognized for doing the most transactions in one year. He was also honored as a Top Producer in the Sale and Leasing Division in 2013.

Sid is an Eagle Scout, and received his bachelor’s degree from Faulkner University with an emphasis in Marketing.

Sid, his wife Lori, and their three children attend Hoover Church of Christ, where he is involved with missions and outreach. In this capacity he currently travels to Tanzania on a bi-annual basis, and has visited the country over 10 times in total. To date, this work has produced 2 new churches constructed, several water wells installed to provide clean water, and the handing out of approximately 1,000 mosquito nets in many communities to help prevent malaria. He is also involved in a non-profit called ACTS specifically targeting the country of Tanzania. One of the goals and benefits this organization is striving to provide is the provision of food, water, sleep and homeostasis (a stable living environment) for orphaned children in Tanzania.
